This form is for new adult (ages 18+) Lincoln Library card applicants and allows you to register online for an eCard. eCards are free to individuals who reside within the Corporate Limits of the City of Springfield. Individuals who qualify for a Non-Resident eCard must pay the non-resident fee after they receive their new eCard in the mail.
eCards are mailed to the address provided on this form. Residents can use the eCards immediately after they are received to access the library's electronic resources. Individuals qualifying for a non-resident eCard are responsible for paying the Non-Resident Fee. Resident eCards are valid for two years from the date of issue, and Non-Resident eCards are valid for one year from the date of issue.
eCards can be converted to a full access library card (access to both electronic resources and physical resources at the library) by bringing the eCard into the library with a valid photo ID (examples include a driver’s license, an Illinois state ID card, a passport, firearms id card or US military ID) that has the same address on file for your eCard. If your address changes you will need to bring your eCard and a valid photo ID and 1 proof of current address which can be a lease, or any bill/official document(electronic or printed) postmarked and dated within the last 60 days.
