Curbside Step-by-Step
Step 1: Place a hold
Place a hold through the online library catalog or by calling us at 217-753-4900 ext 5630. You will receive a text or email notification once the hold is ready for pickup (usually within 24 to 48 hours).
Step 2: Set up a curbside appointment
You may set up a curbside appointment after you receive notification that your materials are ready for pickup. To make an appointment for curbside service:

When making your appointment, please let us know your first and last name, library card number, and preferred time to pick up your items. Appointment times are in hourly increments starting at 10AM. If you are in the final pickup window, please be prompt as curbside service is not offered after 6:45PM Monday to Wednesday or 4:45PM on Thursday and Friday.
Step 3: Arrive to pick up your items
Our curbside service is located in the alley between the Library and Municipal Center West/CWLP. Enter the alley from 7th Street. Dedicated curbside spots are outside the library and are marked with signs which display our contact information and the spot number.
When you arrive, you can call (217-753-4900 ext 5614) or text us (217-705-4655) to let us know that you are here. Please provide your first and last name and which parking spot number you are in, and we will bring out your items shortly.
