This session will be with Springfield native Jeff C. Williams and will be focusing on “ABSTRACT PLEIN AIR - outdoor painting composition in less traditional manner”.
Jeff Williams is a Graphic Designer at University of Illinois Springfield. He is a graduate of Illinois State University with a Bachelor of Science in Art / Graphic Design.
"I often juxtapose experiences of rural and urban and black and white America as my launch pad to delve in and out of social commentary in a bold, colorful, and provocative manner.... (I also specialize in paintings of (low carbon footprint) bicycles. Acrylic-based 2D paintings, sometimes incorporating mixed media, fibers, papers.)
My biggest influence was my grandfather Antoine Jirik, an artist in Chicago who relocated to Springfield to start a small graphic design company and my mama Alvina Williams!"
Jeff has displayed his art at shows or events in:
Chicago, Il.,

Indianapolis, In.,
