Join us for a discussion of the history of securing the right of every American to vote, and the ongoing struggle to guarantee those rights for all time. We’ll watch and discuss two short films highlighting the women’s suffrage and Civil Rights movements. Bring your own questions, such as How far would you go to safeguard your right to vote? What if that right wasn’t something that you could take for granted? Are the protections in the current Voting Rights Act strong enough, or do they need to be updated for today’s America?
