This week, we'll be watching episode 2, "The Trial of John Peter Zenger", and episode 12, "The Lenny Bruce Trials", examining the changing ideas around freedom of speech from Colonial times to the recent past. Who has the right to speak truth to power without fear of reprisal? How far does that freedom extend?
