Civil Civics 2024 Election Series: "Who's the Boss?": Money & Power

As we wrap up this series, this week we'll be watching episode 6, "The Trial of the Haymarket Eight", and episode 23, "The Citizens United Case", examining two very different types of power. The first recounts an early fight to allow for unionized labor, and the second is a recent decision concerning the flow of money into politics. Both cases revolve around money and power and the many ways they are inextricably connected. In a democracy, who has the power? Is it only the one who has the most money, or do the people have a say?
