Luke Moore will present his research on an ancient Illinois trail called the Edwards Trace. The Edwards Trace is a 3,000 year old trail used by the first Native Americans and early pioneers as a source of travel. The Edwards Trace was the main route from the Kaskaskia area in southern Illinois as it went to present-day Peoria, Illinois. There are still portions of the trail that are visible including one near Lake Springfield in Springfield, Illinois. Come learn more about Illinois's ancient history and Moore's new discoveries.
