If you need to write a document, build a spreadsheet, create a slide show, or design a flyer, you might have looked into Microsoft Office (the suite of programs including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint), and you may have been stunned by the cost.

But there are other options out there that won't break your bank-- ones that won't cost you anything at all!

In this program, we will teach you about free alternatives to Microsoft Office, including LibreOffice and OpenOffice. We will also talk about open-source programs in general.
