Spinetinglers Horror Book Club

The Spinetinglers Book Club meets on the third Tuesday of each month for discussion of a different horror book. If you're a fan of ghosts, vampires, or other spooks and ghouls, this book club is for you!

It's the coldest time of the year, so for this month we're reading Stephen King's classic horror novel The Shining. Jack Torrance and his wife and son move into the Overlook Hotel when Jack is hired to be the winter caretaker; struggling with his alcoholism and anger issues, Jack hopes the hotel's isolation will help him reconnect with his family and work on a play. But the Overlook has an evil and bloody history, and only Jack's son Danny can see its true nature. As the winter snow cuts off the Torrances from the outside world, the spirits of the Overlook are determined to claim Danny for their own, and the family finds themselves in grave danger.
