Program Description
Event Details
September is National Sewing Month, and this year's theme is "Sew Sustainable", with a focus on creating projects that incorporate upcycled and repurposed materials. Fitting with this year's theme, in this sewing class, you'll learn how to make a fabric tote bag using up scraps of fabric leftover from other sewing projects. Supplies will be provided for the class, but feel free to bring in any fabric scraps you have that you'd like to sew into your tote bag!
As this is an intermediate level sewing class, attendees are expected to have prior experience with basic sewing using a sewing machine and by hand.
Spots are limited and registration is required. Registration for this program will open on August 28th.
All participants must sign a waiver for ongoing access to The Collaboratory. This class is a prerequisite for future independent projects.
