Join the State Historic Sites at Springfield for a screening of our newest short film. Featuring Langston Hughes biographer Arnold Rampersad and performances of Hughes’ poetry by local students and teachers, the film explores the friendship between Hughes and Springfield siblings Vachel and Olive Lindsay, who supported Hughes’ career and welcomed him to their family home during his speaking tour. A question and answer session with historic site interpreters will follow the screening.
