Purpose of Meeting
The second event in a four-part series exploring Songs of Resistance, the Protest Song Circle creates space for engagement with protest songs brought and taught by attendees of all ages. 3) Protest Songwriting Workshop: attendees will reflect on acts of resistance they’ve witnessed, how resistance shows up in their own lives and what it looks like in this moment in time, and will develop their own protest songs.
4) Open Mic: attendees will perform the protest songs they’ve created and/or learned for the public.
