Purpose of Meeting
Mosaic is a program to build trust relationships across racial lines between White People and People of Color (POC).
https://www.mosaicmethods.org/videos-of-past-participants.html
It’s been in Rochester, NY, (2006-2007); Greensboro, NC (2004 to 2005); Milwaukee, WI (2006 to 2008); and currently in Topeka, Kansas (2021 to 2024).
We want to bring a full program here to Springfield, Illinois in late 2024, with a start date in January 2025 for seven (7) months.
One hundred partners split into five clusters of twenty participants.
Mosaic creates interracial friendships for generational impact.
Partners are strategically matched across racial/or ethnic lines through a psychometric proprietary algorithm (ISPI) and personality survey.
We only match partners who have a minimum of 80% match from the psychometric results.
Partners agree to meeting a minimum of two times a month over the course of the program socially in pairs and in cluster groups.
Partners are trained via workshops.
Mechanics of developing friendships and trust.
Effective communications across culture/differences.
Community progress goal setting and planning.
Partners graduating from the Mosaic Program have all consistently developed a minimum of 80% level of trust compared to the trust of their closest friends.
