Join us as we hear from local end-of-life doula Melanie Sheckels of Threshold Doula, as we begin our series on thinking differently about death.

She says, "I help people have meaningful conversations about death and loss in order to foster the most peaceful, regret-free lives possible. As an end of life doula, I offer a new solution to an old problem: I, or someone I love, is dying — now what? I am here to help you find an answer that makes sense for you. My work involves support for the dying and their families, educating and building community around the topics of death and grief, and mentoring for those interested in becoming an end of life doula."

She will be here to speak about her work and holistic, nonmedical approaches to death, to answer questions, and to bring resources for folks to peruse. Learn more about Melanie by visiting her website, www.thresholddoula.com.
