The Parents’ Room on the 1st floor of Lincoln Library is for nursing parents, those requiring rest for medical reasons related to a non-contagious condition, and a quiet space for children and parents who need a few moments of reprieve. The Parents’ Room is for use by patrons, their families, as well as staff of Lincoln Library.
Parents’ Room Use Guidelines
- The room can be utilized for a maximum of one half hour at a time. Please do not use the room longer than necessary in order to make this space available to as many people as possible.
- To access the key, go to the Youth Services Desk on the 1st floor.
- Access to the room is on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Children may not be left unoccupied without a guardian in the Parents’ Room.
Hours
The room is generally available when the Library is open, Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., and Friday through Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Available hours may be limited at the discretion of the Youth Services Department.
Resources
The room contains a comfortable chair, table space, electrical outlets, and a door lock. Please note nursing mothers will need to bring their own breast pump. Lincoln Library is not responsible for lost or damaged items.
Cleaning
Please leave the room in clean condition and notify Youth Services staff if additional cleaning is needed.
