The collection brings together his interests in crime and travel writing, history, and public affairs. It contains travel brochures, correspondence, photos and his writings, photos of visitors to Springfield, Civil War battle reenactment information and his articles, Abraham Lincoln Sesquicentennial materials and Abraham Lincoln Association materials, Lincoln-Douglas Debate materials, and his writings about Lincoln. Materials from the American Negro Emancipation Centennial, the Springfield Historical Monument Commission, and the Springfield Advertising and Public Relations Club. Also his western and true crime stories.
