Personal Possessions Policy
Lincoln Library provides an atmosphere that is intended to promote the use of library materials and services in a way that does not interfere with other patrons’ use of the facility. Each patron is asked to be considerate of others.
Patrons may bring personal possessions into the library, but for the health and safety of others, the following guidelines apply:
- Bags or personal belongings must be able to fit under a study table or chair. Items too large to be stowed neatly are not allowed in the library.
- Bags or personal belongings must not block the flow of traffic or impede others’ access to library services and materials.
- Items that may present a challenge to public health and safety are not allowed inside the library.
- Personal possessions cannot be left unattended. The Library is unable to guarantee and is not responsible for the security of a patron’s personal property.
- Any items left unattended anywhere on library property, inside or outside, may be discarded without notice.
