Baby Balloons!

A recent patron came in to make a onesie! They have a few more in the works but this is the first one that was completed! This patron used their own transfer paper and printed the image out and used our heat press to apply it. I think it turned out great! I can’t wait to see how the rest come out! You don’t always have to use our materials. Our equipment is open to everyone and you can feel free to bring in your own materials to make what you truly want!

DIY Stuffies!

A patron came in recently wanting to do a project or two on the sewing machines. They grabbed some sewing templates that we already had in the CoLab and went to work! This patron worked on the pink bear first and finished it in no time at all. After that they wanted to do more so we printed off the cactus template and then they finished that off as well! All in one day of open hours!

Hi, Bob!

Bob comes in pretty regularly to use our cricuts. Lately he’s been making some T-Shirts with our iron on vinyl. He’s been using his own cricut design space account so he makes the designs at home then when he gets here he just opens up his account and gets to printing! Here at the Lincoln Library CoLab we have an in house account for you to use as you please or feel free to log into your own account and cut out your own designs that you have ready.

Ever wish your shorts were a little bit better?

A regular CoLabist brought in a pair of old hiking shorts and wanted to make them a tad bit longer. After some thought and a quick look around the room we decided that the nylon strapping that we have. It worked out well although it was mentioned that the material was a little scratchy… So the resourceful colabist got some software material and added it to the bottom of the nylon! Now they have longer shorts to go hiking or working out in!

A sticker says it better!

A new regular CoLabist loves to make some stickers! Recently they came in to make some stickers for their coffee mug or water bottle. They’ve been practicing making stickers and layering the vinyl for different applications. These stickers were made with just a rounded white square for the background with the black lettering layered on top. The cuts from the cricut look great and the black letters will stand out from anything they put these on because they have that white background piece. That’s some smart layering for these stickers!
